Ma(gia)drid
I have to admit, I never thought much of Madrid as a destination for a weekend trip. I expected a large, way too crowded capital city with busy citizens annoyed by too many tourists. Boy, was I wrong. Madrid is a charming city, with heaps of beautiful corners, alleys and plazas. I was surprised by the chill vibe and rural feeling of some of the charming boroughs. And yes, it is really picturesque, too.
